The Bocus Family
Origins and Vision
Villa Oretta began as the holiday residence of a noble Tuscan family, from whom it inherited the name of Countess Oretta. In 1979, the Bocus family transformed the villa into a restaurant and hotel, bringing to Cortina the experience gained by Ferruccio and Celestina, true masters of conviviality.
Ferruccio, a legendary barman who worked in iconic venues such as Harry’s Bar in Venice and The Savoy in London, passed his passion for the art of hospitality on to his son, Piero. After years spent in prestigious hotels in London and Venice, Piero realized his dream: creating Villa Oretta, a place where every guest feels part of the family.

In 2024, Villa Oretta underwent a major restoration, making its spaces modern and functional without losing their timeless warmth. Thanks to the contribution of daughters Alessandra and Francesca, the villa combines elegance, style, and innovation.
